This is an awesome thing to do when you are bored the day before a party and want to get dolled up.
You will need:
2 different colours of nail polish
a small piece of tape
Paint your nails with the lighter of the two colours and leave to COMPLETELY dry.
Then, Take some tape and place it where ever you want on your nail, leaving a bout one half visible.
Paint the remaining half of your your nail with the other colour and peel of the tape.
If you want, you can play a bit and add different colours and have more colours at different angles on you nails like this:
